Anti-slip epoxy flooring is known to be the most durable, hygienic flooring option for any commercial or industrial business and has many advantages over traditional flooring.
Anti-slip or slip-resistant epoxy flooring is a type of coating that is applied to concrete or other floor surface types such as tiles, to make it more slip-resistant. It is often used in commercial and industrial spaces, such as commercial kitchens, warehouses, factories, and production plants, where the floor may become wet or greasy and there is a risk of slips and falls.
Epoxy coatings are typically made of a two-part epoxy resin that is mixed together and applied to the floor in a thin roll coat layer or a thicker trowel coat layer. It hardens to form a durable, seamless surface that is resistant to wear and tear. At QC Floors we pride ourselves on using only quality materials and prefer to install a thick trowel system for industry-specific needs and better long-term durability.
The benefits of anti-slip epoxy flooring are that it can be customised to meet the necessary anti-slip requirements and comply with health and safety regulations. Furthermore, epoxy resin comes in a variety of colours, is easy to clean and maintain and can last for many years with proper maintenance and care, making it a popular choice for businesses looking to improve the safety and durability of their floors.
At QC Floors, we use high-quality epoxy products that are resistant to chemicals and heat up to 140º, making your commercial epoxy floors extremely durable for even the toughest working conditions.

Epoxy decorative quartz flooring is a type of floor coating that combines the durability and slip-resistance of epoxy with the decorative appeal of quartz. It is created by broadcasting small pieces of quartz aggregate with a clear epoxy resin, which is then applied to the floor in a thin layer. This quartz coating is then sealed using a durable clear coating and the result is a floor with a decorative, speckled appearance that is also highly durable and slip-resistant.
Epoxy decorative quartz flooring is an excellent choice for commercial spaces that need a floor that is both attractive and functional. It is often used in bar areas, kitchens, foyers, toilets and other high-traffic areas where the floor needs to withstand heavy foot traffic and ensure an anti-slip finish. The epoxy resin provides a strong, hard-wearing surface that is resistant to wear and tear, while the quartz aggregate adds a decorative touch and helps to hide any imperfections in the floor.
In addition to its aesthetic and functional benefits, epoxy decorative quartz flooring is also easy to clean and maintain, as it is resistant to stains and spills and can be easily swept or mopped to keep it looking fresh and clean. With proper care an epoxy decorative quartz floor can last for many years, making it a cost-effective and long-lasting flooring solution for commercial spaces.

Epoxy coving is a type of coving that is made of epoxy resin which is a durable and hard-wearing material. It is used to connect the floor and wall in a commercial space and is typically used to protect the edges of the floor and create a smooth, seamless transition.
In a commercial setting, epoxy coving is often used to protect the edges of the floor from water damage and bacteria build-up from leaks and spills. Bacteria in commercial environments can be unsafe and unhygienic for food and beverage preparation and production. In addition, if your commercial space is likely to have liquid spills or maintenance such as mopping or hosing, then epoxy coving can help prevent water damage to the floor and wall.
Aesthetically, epoxy coving can improve the appearance of a commercial space by hiding gaps or imperfections between the floor and wall and creating a cohesive look. At QC Floors, we hand-trowel our coving for durability and to create a continuous design that is resistant to liquids. This helps to ensure a professional and long-lasting finish.

Epoxy flake flooring is similar to standard epoxy flooring in that both use a two-part epoxy resin to create a hard, durable surface. However, epoxy flake is a type of flooring that incorporates small flakes into the epoxy coating that adds a decorative element to the finished product, which is not present in standard commercial epoxy flooring.
The flakes are usually made of polyester or vinyl and are available in a wide range of colours and sizes. During the planning process, the client chooses a colour and size that suits their budget and aesthetics and when the epoxy coating is applied to the floor, the flakes are mixed in to create a decorative, terrazzo-like finish. Our epoxy flakes are hand-distributed, resulting in a unique look and feel for each floor and ensuring that no two floors will ever look the same.
Epoxy flake flooring is often used in commercial settings to not only add a decorative touch to the floor but to also increase the durability and slip-resistance of each floor surface.

Medical Floors
-
There are a few key considerations that need to be taken into account when choosing commercial medical flooring. The medical industry has strict cleanliness and infection control standards, which must be met to protect patients, staff and visitors; so extra care during the design, specification and installation process is essential. The flooring must be slip-resistant, easy to clean and maintain, and durable enough to withstand heavy traffic and constant cleaning. Choosing a flooring type that will reduce noise levels and create a calm and welcoming environment is also important.
At QC Floors, we understand that medical clients have specific flooring needs. We often recommend vinyl flooring, as it meets several essential criteria. In addition, vinyl designs can complement the overall aesthetic of each business. Contact us to find out more.
Government Facility Floors
-
We specialise in durable flooring for Government projects and buildings.
Government flooring needs to be tough and durable to withstand high-traffic wear and tear. It also needs to be easy to clean and maintain to ensure a safe environment. In some cases, the type of flooring used can create a calm and comfortable surrounding for people using the facility, such as an airport or government office space.
There are a variety of flooring options available that meet these requirements, including vinyl and carpet tiles. Each option has its strengths and weaknesses, so it's important to choose the right one for your business needs and clientele. Vinyl is durable and easy to clean, making it a good choice for high-traffic areas. Carpet tiles are also durable and provide a softer surface, making them a good choice for areas where people will be standing for long periods.

Food Production Floors
-
When it comes to food production floors, there are a few main factors that need to be taken into account to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
First and foremost, floors in food production facilities need to be slip-resistant, durable and non-porous. With foot traffic and liquid spills that occur in these types of environments, it is essential to have a floor that can withstand liquid and heat and does not become a slip hazard underfoot. Coving also helps to protect the floor-to-wall intersection by ensuring dirt, grime and bacteria do not build up; which can lead to substantial hygiene issues. Overall It is important to choose a flooring material that is easy to maintain and keep clean.
QC Floors recommend certain types of epoxy resins for food production flooring, such as abattoirs and wet and dry food processing plants.

Substrate Floor Preparation
-
An important step in any flooring installation is the preparation of the substrate or underlying surface. This is necessary to ensure that the new flooring will have a stable and level surface to adhere to. There are a few different methods that can be used to prepare a substrate for flooring, and the best method will depend on the type of substrate and the condition it is in.
If the substrate is in good condition and is level, then it can simply be cleaned and vacuumed to remove any dirt or debris. If the substrate is not level, then it will need to be levelled out using a self-levelling compound. This is a process that should be done by a professional, as it can be tricky to get the compound to spread evenly.
Once the substrate is prepared, the flooring can be installed. This process can be managed by the QC Floors team working with current contractors or providing a full service from prep to the floor installation of your choice.
