Local Commercial

Kitchen from

Vinyl to Epoxy Flake.

We understand the importance of durable and safe flooring in a commercial kitchen. That's why when our client came to us with an old and worn commercial kitchen floor, our team got to work on finding the best solution for their specific needs.

We removed all the existing vinyl floors, degreased the substrate to ensure that it was completely cleaned of any contaminants and then ground the concrete to prepare it for our work. Our team then repaired all of the divots using our commercial epoxy mortar and applied a skim coat using our commercial epoxy to make sure the substrate was level and smooth.

To meet WHS Safety Standards in commercial kitchens, we installed new coving with an aluminium arrowhead to prevent bacteria build-up in corners. Our commercial ZM products were applied as a base coat, providing the floor with chemical and heat resistance, making it suitable to withstand the heat from commercial ovens. We then applied commercial flakes, which not only give the floor a decorative finish but also provide an anti-slip surface, making it safe for kitchen staff to work on. Finally, we applied our ZM products as a final sealer coat for an added anti-slip and to ensure the floor passed all safety standards.

The result was a durable, safe, and easy-to-maintain floor that met the specific needs of our client. If you are facing similar challenges with your commercial kitchen floor, our team at QC Floors would be happy to provide more information and help bring your floors back to life.
